5 Ways to Honor our Philippine Flag🇵🇭

The Philippine flag is the symbol of our country. We should revere it at all times.

1. When carrying our Flag, never dip the flag to anyone or anything. Always keep it in a vertical position.

2. Our flag is never to be used as drapery, a table covering, over a speaker’s podium, or for any decoration in general.

3. Our flag should not be used for advertising purposes. Don’t embroider, print on, or cover items with our flag, especiaflly if designed for temporary use and then discarded. Don’t attach advertising to the staff or halyard.

4. Our flag should not be used for a costume or uniform. You can use a flag patch on the uniform of our military, police, firemen, and members of patriotic organizations.

5. Our flag should never have anything placed on it. Don’t put insignia’s, letters, pictures, words, drawings, etc. NOTHING should be on our flag!

I witness many of these violations of flag etiquette in our community. Most often I see worn, faded, and tattered flags. Our flags are not indestructible. They wear out! Take pride in our Philippine Flag; teach your kids how to properly display our flag. Let’s all show our flag the proper respect it deserves. As a millennial I encourage all of you to do the proper ways and follow this to give respect and patriotism to honor our Philippine Flag.

Self love is not selfish you cannot truly love another until you know how to love yourself. I am Maria Eloisa De Guzman Aguilar 16 years of age and I was born on April 14, 2002. I am from the “Mariner Family”. I currently living in Baritan, San Miguel, Bulacan. When I was elementary my family always supporting me to join pageants and academic challenges. They are always pushing me to participate even if I do not like it, because I’m boyish. So, because they supporting me I’m trying to get all for them because I love them and everything I want they give. I confidently finished my elementary and face my high school journey. My mother called me “Goal Digger” because I already start all my dreams and all they want me to get. All the contests in our school are on my side and I get especially from the pageant. I feel the support of my entire family while I’m walking on the platform, so I give my best to do it confidently and beautiful. My family is my life and everything else comes second as far as what’s important to me.
